历史沿革[edit]
村名来自宋代的渡口：当时这里是东江岸边，外地客商多在此泊船上岸，那个渡口叫「东华渡」。[1]
解放初期属新二区，1951年土改时一分为三，即新村头、新田街、井头巷三乡，之后在1956年合为三联高级社，1958年叫三联大队；1981年10月改称东华大队，1983年改为东华乡，1987年设东华村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
东华村在2021年、2022年进入淘宝村名单，2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
