群星村是广州市增城区新塘镇南部的行政村，濒临东江，新塘海关和新塘口岸都设在村内；村里有广州市文物保护单位湛怀德祠，还有海蚀洞古海遗迹。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是村民委员会设在群星村。新中国成立前，这里分为下村、沙巷、初庄、岗头、何屋五个自然村；1951年土地改革时属何屋乡，1956年五村合并，成立群星高级社，1958年为群星大队，隶属新塘公社；1983年改为群星乡，1987年设群星村民委员会。[1]

地理与经济[edit]

村域7平方公里，向南到东江，对岸是东莞；北边是广深铁路与广园东路，107国道和广深高速从中部通过。博雅地名网记，村分9个村民小组，1311户、3866人，2008年底全村总产值3.2669亿元。[1]

百度百科称，村里采取「拆旧建新」的办法改造人居环境，已建成两幢24层的公寓楼，村股份经济合作社还参与了商业地产项目。群星村在2021年、2022年进入淘宝村名单。[2][1]

名胜古迹[edit]

湛怀德祠在村南约石街巷，祀湛氏三世祖湛怀德夫妇，始建于明，清光绪十七年（1891年）重修，最近一次维修在2005年，占地324.48平方米；1999年7月公布为第五批广州市文物保护单位。[3][1]

古海遗迹即「石巷」，是一处海蚀洞，洞长约20米、高约2.5米，列为增城新八景之一的「古海遗踪」。清末《增城县志》称石巷在甘泉都沙贝村外，由巨石夹成，岩中祀天后；洞旁另有倚岩寺、翼亭和湛若水钓鱼台旧址。[4]

著名人物[edit]

群星村人伍伟能（1920—2004）和伍焕林（1924—2004），都在1943年12月入党，参加过当地的抗日活动。[5]
