群星村在南雄市水口镇境内，位于水口镇南部，属革命老区村[1]。下辖6个自然村，分为6个村民小组，共238户、998人；耕地884亩，另有林地2830亩，总面积约4.5平方千米。主要作物为黄烟、水稻、花生。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
地名由来：据当地说法，古时浈江上通行木船，船只常在此停泊，夜里灯火如繁星点点，后人便称此地为群星。[2]
1949年设河坪农会，1954年组成河坪初级社，1956年升格为高级社；1963年河村、大坪和张河坝片并为河坪大队；1983年从中分出，称群星乡，1988年称群星管理区，撤销管理区、设立群星村委会，一直延续至今。[1]
