上塘村在行政区划上属从化区太平镇，是该镇的一个行政村，村委会设在镇域西北部。[1] 全村面积约3000多亩，下设26个经济社，村委会介绍的人口为3266人、农户698户（该介绍未注明年份）。村委会距从化城区约16公里，距太平镇区约16公里。[1]

省道285（神棋公路）从村中穿过，村内共有26个经济社。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，1958年取名上塘大队，到1983年12月归入井岗，称井岗乡，到1987年1月分出后改名上塘村民委员会，此名沿用到现在。[1]

荣誉与名单

  • 2019年9月，上塘村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
  • 2024年11月，上塘村被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]

经济[edit]

据村委会介绍，村里的生计是：栽种荔枝、龙眼；种水稻、花生，也有村民外出务工。[1]

从化区人民政府于2015年发布的历史建筑与传统风貌建筑推荐线索名单中，列有本村的龙井村北帝古庙、龙井二队蔡氏宗祠、龙井二队良直蔡公祠、龙井二队龙兴里门楼、龙井二队骆氏宗祠、米田队谢氏民居群等，共12处。名单所列只是普查线索，不等于已定级的文物。[2]
