据博雅地名网，1958年与牛心岭合并，称心星大队，到1974年分出，取名何家埔大队，到1981年改设为何星大队，到1983年12月归入太平，称太平乡，到1987年1月改名何家埔村委会，恢复原名何家埔，此名沿用到现在。[1]
荣誉与名单
- 2026年1月，何家埔村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」称号。[1]

村民栽种荔枝、龙眼，水田里种水稻和花生，也有人在周边的房地产项目里务工。[1]
