金洲村位于肇庆市高要区金利镇南部，南面与高明区接壤，东南面临西江，隔江与佛山市南海区相望。面积约14.02平方千米，下辖17个村民小组，博雅地名网载总人口3632人。[1]
资源与经济[edit]
村南靠山，地下有金、银、铜、煤和石材等矿产，长坑金矿就在村境内。村组集体开办采石场，在西江边建有码头从事水路运输；工业有五金加工、电镀、化工；农业种植优质稻、花卉、剑花和蔬菜，养殖罗氏虾和四大家鱼。[1]
村子距镇城区约6公里，经金安围公路通高明，距高明区城区约13公里。[1]
沿革[edit]
1952年设金洲乡，1955年有南星社，1958年改金洲大队，归金星公社，次年属金利公社；1968年易名永红大队，到1974年又用回金洲大队。[1]
1983年大队改乡，1987年改为村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年定名金洲村民委员会。[1]
