沙头街道是广东省广州市番禺区下辖的街道，位于番禺中心城区西部，辖2个社区和9个行政村。[1][2]1987年起这里属沙头镇，1992年划归市桥镇，街道办事处于2002年3月组建。[1][8]辖区内有番禺博物馆、番禺沙头东汉墓群和大夫山森林公园的南门，珠宝首饰加工是当地的主要产业之一。[1][5][7]

历史沿革[edit]

沙头旧称碧沙。相传南宋时村落建在山前的沙滩上，背后山林青绿，与白沙相映，因而得名；碧沙起初分为五坊，其中沙头坊设有集市，称沙头圩，此后沙头一名逐渐取代了碧沙。[1][2]

据维基百科，1957年4月在此设乡镇；各村的沿革则记载，1987年沙头一带的村民委员会隶属沙头镇，1992年划归市桥镇，次年改属市桥街道，到2001年又归沙头街道。[4][8]街道办事处自述，2002年3月28日组建成立。[1][3]统计用区划代码为440113008。[2]

地理环境[edit]

街道总面积18.1平方千米，位于番禺中心城区西部。[1]大夫山森林公园延伸入辖区，街道称之为「天然氧吧」；公园的南门在沙头一侧，北门在钟村街道。[1][6]街道规划的骨干路网由莲花大道、禺山西路、北堤路（横向三条）和景观大道、银平路、榄水路（纵向三条）组成，广深港铁路专线与东新高速公路也经过辖区。[1][3]

人口[edit]

街道办事处称，其统计为户籍人口三万余、常住加流动共十万余。[1]博雅地名网转载的早期概况则称，户籍人口1.9万余人，流动务工人员约6万人。[3]两种说法来源与年份不同，数字不能直接比较。

经济[edit]

街道列出的行业有珠宝首饰、汽车配件、整装卫浴、创意产业、五金电子，以及冷冻食品的储运与贸易。[1]至2007年底，辖区共有注册工商企业3682户，其中珠宝首饰加工企业200户。[3]2016年，「大罗塘珠宝名镇」揭牌启市；此后每年在此办广州番禺大罗塘珠宝节。[1]街道还依托海伦堡创意产业园与大夫山文体创意园招商。[1]

据博雅地名网所录名单，沙头、榄山、大罗、小罗、大平、小平、汀根、南双玉八个村在2021、2022两年入选淘宝村。[8]

文化[edit]

街道办事处列举的传统节庆有：除夕后的大年初一舞狮拜年，初八康公出巡，二十日华光诞庙会，以及端午赛龙舟。[1]汀根龙狮团曾代表番禺区出赛第十三届全国南北狮王争霸赛（2021年），得银奖。[1]本地历史文化另辑为《沙头故事》。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

  • 番禺沙头东汉墓群：在沙头村银平路龟岗东麓，墓区东西向约300米、南北约100米，现知东汉砖室墓22座，其中12座经发掘，出土器物近五百件；1999年7月列为广州市文物保护单位。[5]
  • 番禺博物馆：位于银平路121号，1997年11月开放，包括陈列大楼、番禺文博园和东汉古墓群景区三部分。[7]
  • 大夫山森林公园：占地约8700亩，1999年8月首期开放。[6]
