历史沿革[edit]
永乐年间（1403—1435年），邓平甫自顺德水藤迁来立村，村以其名称平甫。此地原是平甫的南约，后分为大平甫、小平甫两村；粤语中「甫」「步」同音，又写作大平步，最终简称大平。[1]村委会1987年设立，隶属沙头镇；此后随区划调整，1992年归市桥镇，1993年归市桥街道，2001年归沙头街道。[1]
经济[edit]
村集体收入主要靠出租土地、商铺和仓库，村内工业园区有冷冻物流、珠宝、五金等企业。[1]2021年和2022年，大平村列入淘宝村名单。[1]
