榄山村位于广州市番禺区沙头街道东南部，面积约1.1平方千米。[1]村名来自早年村北山坡上成片的乌榄树，南宋淳熙七年（1191年）立村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

最初村民散居在村北几处低丘缓坡，坡上遍种乌榄。山上缺水，村人后来逐步迁到山脚，但仍用榄山作村名。[1]1958年为榄山大队，1984年称榄山乡，村委会1987年设立，隶属沙头镇；此后随区划调整，1992年归市桥镇，1993年归市桥街道，2001年归沙头街道。[1]

荣誉[edit]

榄山村在2024年1月被确定为2023年度「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」，2023年4月列入「乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单（2022年度），2021年和2022年列入淘宝村名单，2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]街道也把它列为民主法治示范村。[2]
