地名与沿革[edit]
村由青石村与新西村合并而成，各取头一字，称青西。[2] 1949年至1953年归源溪乡；其后办起青西高级社（1955至1957年）；1958年改为青西大队，沿用到1984年；1985年起称青西村委会。[3]
概况与荣誉[edit]
村分21个村民小组，在册569户、2659人，总面积9平方千米，耕地1151亩，除水稻外，红粬是村里的特色收入；近年又发展烤烟，使富余劳力有了出路。[1] 2017年10月，青西村获第一批广东省卫生村称号；2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
