地名与沿革[edit]
村名来自早年一口池塘边成片的枫树。[2] 据村情材料，明朝全盛期的1399年，陈姓人家从河南迁到今兴宁、五华（长乐）一带，在此立庄。[3] 此后的建置：新中国成立之初称枫林塘乡，1958年为枫林塘大队，1989年起叫管理区，1999年改称村民委员会，一直沿用。[3]

村情材料载，全村分15个村民小组，在册1756户，总面积4平方千米，耕地1050亩；主要种水稻，上一年农村经济总收入595万元。[1] 博雅地名网把村名写作枫林村，本站依区划数据，仍用枫林塘村。[1]
