大岭头村是惠州市惠城区汝湖镇的行政村，村庄建在一座山岭的前头，故名。[1]
村情记述，村史已有498年：明正德十三年（1518年），先人从河南迁到博罗县泰美镇岑坑村，十一世旭秀公后来从岑坑迁居大岭头。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1973年3月，大岭头所在的岭子头大队片归博罗县泰美公社；同年8月划出，成立大岭头管理区，隶仍图镇。1999年起设村，2011年改属惠城区汝湖镇。[1]
文化[edit]
2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
