上围村是惠州市惠城区汝湖镇的行政村，村里以陈、张两姓为主。[1]
据传先人原居惠东大岭，因当地常闹水灾，顺江而下，来到这一带连绵的小山岗间试种作物，竟有收成，便定居下来，起名长岗岭；后来因地处上首，改称上围。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
这一带原名长湖。1966年为博罗县汝湖公社长湖大队，1978年改长湖区，1984年改长湖乡；1988年起是汝湖镇的长湖管理区，1992年称长湖村委会。1995年5月长湖一分为二，上围另立管理区，1998年撤区改村，定名上围村委会。[1]
文化[edit]
司法部、民政部在2023年1月公布的第九批「全国民主法治示范村（社区）」名单中有上围村。[1]
