房村村在惠州市惠城区汝湖镇境内，是一个行政村，村民现有房、冯两姓。[1]
据《房氏家谱》，房氏先祖是唐太宗名相房玄龄的后人。约在1395年，邹氏带着两个儿子房观义、房观明从东莞城仓前街迁到此地，当时只有房姓居住，故称房村；三百年后冯姓迁入。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1977年以前，房村属博罗县汝湖公社东湖乡，此后改隶惠城区汝湖镇下的东湖大队。1992年东湖大队一分为三，房村与黄村共设一个管理区；1997年建村委会，同时与黄村分开。[1]
文化[edit]
房村村在2017年10月获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予的首批「广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
