埔头村是惠州市惠城区汝湖镇的行政村，位于东江边，是龙形拳创始人林耀桂的家乡。[1][2]
村情称，三百年前林、苏、吴三姓先人从福建漳州迁入铁派都，这里地势低，居民多以捕鱼为生，起名「捕头」，后来谐音写作埔头。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年归博罗县汝湖区仍西乡；1958年设生产大队，隶仍图公社；1981年设管辖区，1987年设埔头乡，1994年改管理区，1999年4月设埔头村委会。村情记述，仍图镇于2013年撤销，埔头划归惠城区汝湖镇。[1]
文化[edit]
龙形拳源自少林龙形拳，19世纪末由仍图埔头村的林耀桂结合实战与诸家所长创立，2009年10月被列为广东省非物质文化遗产项目。[2]
2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
