新寨村是玉滘镇下辖的行政村，位于镇行政中心所在地，省道335线与汕梅高速公路穿境而过。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子在1953年隶属梅东区。1958年此处称新寨营，次年转为生产大队，归梅岗公社管辖。此后几度归并与分设：1961年改属玉滘公社，1963年划入云路公社，1965年又成为玉滘公社下的新寨大队。1984年设乡，1986年设村委会，此名延续至今。[1]

经济[edit]

村民多以务农、小商品经营和打工为生，集体经济收入主要来自集体土地的承包。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村入选「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，村先后被列入阿里研究院公布的淘宝村名单，分别为「2020年淘宝村」「2021年淘宝村」「2022年淘宝村」。[1]
