新寨村是大麦山镇下辖的行政村，也是镇政府所在地，博雅地名网把它的城乡分类列为镇中心区。村委会驻地在新寨，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年，新寨一带归连南县三区的九寨行政村管辖；1952年划入九寨乡，1958年成为九寨生产大队的一部分。1961年它自成一个生产大队，到1962年2月，新寨、庙应岗与坪地三处的生产大队并成了新寨生产大队。[2]

此后，1983年改设为乡，1987年5月转为村民委员会。1989年10月，它一度被称作村民管理区，直到1999年4月才恢复为村民委员会。2005年，依南府办复〔2005〕41号文的决定，三洲村民委员会被撤销，并入新寨村民委员会。[2]

自然地理[edit]

博雅地名网称，全村面积16.95平方千米，大部分是石灰岩地，山地6995亩，耕地4500亩，其中水田2000亩、旱地2500亩。这些数字都没有注明年份。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

博雅地名网概况页记录，2008年全村种水稻约2000亩，每亩产量在350千克上下，农民人均年收入为2260元。省道261线穿村而过；收入除了种粮，还来自电站入股分红与外出务工。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

镇政府2021年的工作总结称，镇里以新寨村的九寨梯田为中心打造自然景观，九寨梯田与白芒古榕树等地一起被评为连南最佳摄影点之一。[4]
