新兴社区是河源市源城区上城街道下辖的社区，在东江边龟峰塔下，因城市开发、政府安置居民而设居委会，故名新兴，辖区约0.7平方千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1995年9月成立，名称一直未改。[1]

社区概况[edit]

四至为：东面南堤路，南面新兴路，西面玫瑰路，北面河紫路；分9个居民小组，有2317户11585人，驻区学校2所，设有两处多功能小公园。社区党总支有党员99人。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2009年5月，获河源市文明社区称号；2015年3月，司法部、民政部表彰为第六批全国民主法治示范村（社区）。[1]
