历史沿革[edit]
由后湖、竹篙岭、后埔寨、新洋心、老洋心、毛多陂、赤岗七个自然村组成，都原属平岗村。1974年平岗大队人口过多，分成三个大队，以赤岗等八个自然村设平一大队，接着1987年改村委会，随后1989年改管理区，再后来1998年复设村委会。[1]
人口民族[edit]
有430多户，近2200人，耕地1759亩，山地3500亩。[1]
经济[edit]
经济较弱，以水稻、番薯、花生、蔬菜为主，许多人到镇上从事服装、纺织等行业。2019年9月列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」，2020年12月获「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
