日兴社区坐落在海丰县公平镇镇区的米街一带，原为第三居民委员会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区得名于老日兴圩，康熙十六年（1677年）这里立过日兴市。1950年起归海丰建政二区的公平镇，接着1952年归公平乡，随后1953年属公平区公平镇，再后来1958年入公平公社，此后1961年圩内设四个居委会，它列第三。1984年3月公平撤社建区，镇区居民大队地域划出第三居民委员会，接着2004年改称日兴社区。[1]

布街一带店铺密集，是镇上居民买东西常去的地方。辖区有855户、3680多人。[1]
