新联村在赤石镇南部，面积21.2平方千米，村委会驻在新城，离集镇约2公里。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年属第四区赤石乡，1952年立新联乡，1958年改新联大队。1984年成为赤石区公所新联乡，1987年改赤石镇新联村委会，1989年称管理办事处，1998年复设村民委员会。[1]

地理与经济[edit]

村下设13个村民小组（新寨、沈坑等），共2462人；耕地3750亩，山地2.61万亩。作物以稻、番薯、葛薯、花生为主，也有柑橘、蜜柚；沈坑水库库容30万立方米。[1][2]境内的新寨工业园有运达时皮业和富得利皮革制品两家规模以上企业。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

凤河晚渡就在村辖区内，村里还有古驿道羊蹄峻岭，以及一座据称已有550多年的翦翠庵。[2]
