明热村在赤石镇西北部，面积54.8平方千米，村委会驻地离集镇约10公里，水底山就在这一带。^[1]^[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年属第四区赤石乡，1952年立明热乡，1958年改明热大队。1984年为赤石区公所明热乡，1987年称赤石镇明热村委会，1989年改管理办事处，1998年复设村委会。^[1]

村下设13个村民小组（含汤湖等），307户1418人；耕地4064亩，山地6.57万亩。以稻、番薯、葛薯、花生为主，兼养淡水鱼，养鸭规模大，以出产樱桃谷鸭闻名。窑陂水库库容551万立方米，坝后建有电站。^[1]^[2]

水底山一带有温泉，海丰田园沐歌温泉旅游度假村在汤湖村民小组；博雅地名网还介绍了占地680亩的水底山温泉庄园。^[1]^[2]

2026年1月，明热村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。^[1]
