村分圆墩、吉水门2个村民小组，177户797人；耕地720亩，山地约0.57万亩。村民种稻、番薯、花生、荔枝、香蕉。赤石河流经此处，咸淡水交汇，出产鱼虾蟹蚝，全村养殖面积400多亩。[1][2]西南约3公里的象山脚下有正觉庵，对面麒麟山上在兴建云台禅寺；投资3亿元的大百汇生物科技园项目落在村里。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
圆墩村原属圆墩乡；该乡2003年1月撤销，2004年底，圆墩村连同圆林、洛坑并入赤石镇。[3]
