白岭村位于平远县东石镇东北部，辖7个村民小组，登记168户、672人，总面积11.12平方公里，耕地约674亩，是东石镇的行政村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网所记，灵水与白岭交界处有一处白色山岗，坡地出产白瓷土，村子建在这片山岗上，因而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年设白岭乡；上世纪50年代属石北，60年代单独成立白岭大队，70年代与灵水合并为石北大队；1983年再次分开，设白岭小乡；1987年成立村民委员会，1989年改为管理区，1999年重设村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村里栽有茶叶、油茶和蜜桔，其中南丰蜜桔5亩是在县老促会支持下种的；村道水泥路面铺了2.5公里，村内另有1处建筑石场。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，白岭村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
