东汶村在东石圩以东约3公里，属平远县东石镇，下设25个村民小组，登记780户、3044人，总面积11.36平方公里，耕地约2120亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1961年自汶水大队划分出来，成为东汶大队；1983年改称小乡，1987年改设村民委员会，1989年改设管理区，1999年重设村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村里种水稻、花生、黄豆和沙田柚，主村道5公里已水泥硬化，境内有铁矿场、石灰石场各1处。[1]
著名人物[edit]
刘述元（生于1714年），号铁峰，东汶村茶园下人。他20岁考取秀才，1744年中举人，次年中进士，被派往四川任通江知县，在任约三年，修编《通江县志》，捐俸修建杨伯河桥；归乡后以教书、写作为生，著有《六有堂稿》《铁峰吟草》，50多岁去世。[2]
