村名取自它所在的东石圩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年设东石乡，1958年公社化后称东石大队，1983年改称小乡，1987年改设村民委员会，1989年改为管理区，1999年起又设村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
农作物有水稻、花生、甜玉米和三华李；每年以公司加农户方式种甜玉米100多亩，另种花生150多亩，主要村道均已水泥硬化，并扶持贫困户108户。[1]
