锡水村在平远县东石圩以北约5公里，是东石镇的行政村，下设16个村民小组，登记506户、2140人，总面积4.62平方公里，耕地约1566亩。[1]
地名由来[edit]
相传从前村北的山坡上开过锡矿，矿洞至今还在；采矿处有一条大坑，坑水从村中流过，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立时叫锡水乡，1958年成立锡水大队，1983年改称小乡，1987年成立村民委员会，1989年改设管理区，1999年再设村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
农作物以水稻、花生、玉米和蔬菜为主，村里与公司合作，每年种冬瓜150多亩、甜玉米100多亩；两条主要村道共2.5公里已硬化。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
蕙楼又名慎敏第，是华侨吴蕙根出资建于1924年的民居。它保留了客家上、中、下三堂的格局，却不重防御，采用西式元素：楼体两层、正面三层，正面向外凸出阳台，带欧洲风格。[2]
