历史沿革[edit]

村名与温泉有关：建村之初当地有温泉，故称下汤乡，到1983年才易名新华。[2]1999年5月设村委会，此前的1987年叫管理区，1983年叫新华乡；再往前，1958年为双华大队，1952年则是下汤乡。[2]2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单收有此村。[1]
