历史沿革[edit]

此地原名杞演，后写作桔演，再把「桔」改为「吉」。^[2]早年归上林乡、上林大队管辖；从上林乡分出、另立桔演乡，在1986年6月；之后改为管理区办事处（1987年12月），1999年成为村民委员会。^[2]2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单收有此村。^[1]
