大麻社区位于大埔县大麻镇的中心，是镇区居民的管理单位。据传，早年圩镇周围洼地多，出产火麻（可入药），镇名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

现在的社区居委会成立于2002年，此前2000年4月的名称是镇居民委员会，再往前是1986年冬撤区建镇时为管理圩镇居民而设的街道办事处。[1]
