安墩社区是安墩镇政府所在的镇中心区，在惠东县北部，辖区即安墩圩，设居民委员会。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
社区所在的圩旧称烟墩。明末盗贼横行，居民在圩中筑起土墩，见盗来便在墩上燃烟报警，圩因此叫烟墩；清末治安好转，改名安墩，意思是安全的土墩。[1]
1987年3月，经惠东府函〔1987〕8号文批复，这里设安墩居委；2002年依粤民基〔2002〕5号文改称安墩社区居民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
