杉园村在惠东县安墩镇，因当地杉树多而得名；梓横村1986年从这里分出。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此处曾生长大量杉树，故叫杉园。[1]杉园1949年称村，1951年12月为第二十区（区府设在安墩）的小乡，1952年称乡，1956年为高级社，1961年为大队；1983年复称乡，1986年析出梓横村；1987年3月依惠东府函〔1987〕26号文设村委，1999年称杉园村委会。[1]
