水美村在惠东县安墩镇，因处安墩河源头而得名，旧称水尾。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村处安墩河的发源地，人们习惯叫水尾，后来改称水美。[1]
1951年归洋潭乡；1962年入热汤小公社，成为生产大队；1984年仍属洋潭乡，名水尾村。此后先称村委、管理区，1999年定名水美村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
水美村入选广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2018年度，2019年9月公布）。[1]
经济[edit]
据百度百科热汤村条目，安墩水美森林康养基地于2020年被评为首批国家森林康养基地；2021年水美村上村经济合作社的集体土地1.1694公顷被征收，用于惠东县城镇建设用地。[2]
