奕垌村是城东街道下辖的行政村，位于阳江市江城区。相传旧时此地地势高低不平，耕地不成片，田垌分散，因而古称奕垌堡，后简称奕垌。[1]
村里以奕垌工业园为经济发展的主阵地，沿新325国道和沈海高速一带形成工业带。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
旧称奕垌堡，新中国成立初设奕垌行政村，隶属三区的北惯乡。1953年起它改归七区金龙乡管辖，1956年又归北惯区，次年改属北惯乡。[3]
1958年11月，此地属幸福人民公社，称奕垌管理区。次年2月转入北惯人民公社，同年改设奕垌生产大队。1960年，随长大队的若干自然村和北惯公社东莺大队的南木坑并入，划归岗列人民公社。[3]
1961年至1963年间它几经改属，先归附城区和江城人民公社，1963年2月撤区并社后又归岗列人民公社。1983年建为奕垌乡，隶属岗列区；1987年改称村委会，后又变成管理区。[3]
1988年，此地归江城区岗列街道管辖。1994年街道撤销改为岗列镇，1999年恢复村委会。2003年镇又改回街道，隶属岗列街道；2014年9月9日起划归城东街道，沿用至今。[3]
近年发展[edit]
2023年4月，奕垌村列入2022年「广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。[1]
据百度百科，村里利用余下的留用地建成标准化厂房，占地1700平方米，投入约300万元；村内还发展了600亩青榄基地，2023年新增省级「美丽庭院」示范点。[2]
