珠湖村在惠东县安墩镇，村名与旧时附近的大湖及村民养猪的习惯有关。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，旧时村旁有一个大湖，村民又爱养猪，“珠”与“猪”同音，故称珠湖。[1]
珠湖在新中国成立后称乡，1951年12月为第二十区（区府设在安墩）的小乡，1957年底划入宝沥乡，1963年2月属安墩公社；1987年3月依惠东府函〔1987〕8号文设村委，1999年称珠湖村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
珠湖村入选广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2018年度，2019年9月公布）。[1]
