光明村是惠东县平山街道下辖的行政村，1969年从坣陂大队分出，曾多次登上「淘宝村」名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新村从坣陂大队分出，取前途光明之意为名。光明在1958年归平山公社，1969年才单独设大队。1984年它又同坣陂合并成坣陂乡，1987年再度分开，称光明村委会；管理区办事处的名称用过一段（1989年12月起，据惠东府〔1989〕126号），1999年改回村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，光明村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2020年、2021年和2022年，光明村三度入选「淘宝村」名单。[1]
