地名由来[edit]
祖先在西枝江边建村，起初叫边江围，新中国成立后改称平江。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
平江大队由维德大队分出，1983年11月又同维德合并为维德乡。1987年3月依惠东府函〔1987〕13号文设平江村委，1990年称管理区，1998年称村委会。2017年10月，经粤民函〔2017〕2295号文由多祝镇划入平山街道。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，平江村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2024年1月被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
