地名由来[edit]
据传谭公小时候在这里生活，村子因此叫谭公村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
同治九年（1870年）谭公小村属升平社堡，由平山司巡检管辖。1958年起归平山公社，当时叫谭公林场，1964年易名红星大队。1984年，六德、大布、星合三处与它合成谭公乡；之后按惠东府函〔1987〕27号文改设村委（1987年3月），再改管理区（1990年）和村（1999年）。2005年12月经粤民区〔2005〕61号文划入平山街道。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，谭公村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
