长坑村是惠东县平山街道下辖的行政村，原属多祝镇，2017年10月划入平山街道；省级文物保护单位田坑村古建筑群在村内的田坑。[1][2][3]

地名由来[edit]

因地形像一条长坑而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年12月，长坑小乡属惠阳县第十九区（区府设在多祝镇），1957年12月并入永东乡，1963年2月为多祝公社的长坑大队。1977年分出长坑、园潭两个大队；1983年长坑、园潭、田坑三个大队合并为长坑乡。1987年3月依惠东府函〔1987〕13号文设长坑村委，1990年称管理区，1998年称村委会。2017年10月，经粤民函〔2017〕2295号文由多祝镇划入平山街道。[2]

田坑村古建筑群[edit]

古建筑群俗称田坑古城，在长坑村的田坑，占地12000多平方米，始建于明末，清乾隆年间建成，已有300多年。它是一座较大的客家古村寨，布局为院落式四合院，墙用青砖砌成，山墙是“镬耳封”火山墙；有20多座建筑、18条巷道和近400间房厅，另有围龙屋、碉楼和城墙。[3]

城内的大夫宗祠2004年3月已列入惠东县文物保护单位，整个建筑群则在2008年11月被公布为广东省文物保护单位。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，长坑村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2021年9月入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，产品是茶叶。[1]
