新圩社区是惠州市惠阳区新圩镇的镇中心社区，新圩镇人民政府所在地。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1987年设新圩镇时成立居民委员会，称新圩镇居委会；2002年改称新圩社区居民委员会。[1]

地名由来[edit]

此地原叫打禾岗，起初只是十来家店铺的小圩市。人口和商贸增长以后，集市在清代后期向南移了约1公里，形成新的交易圩，称新圩，社区以此为名。[1]
