历史沿革[edit]
1950年约场和深圳坪地一起编为约坪乡，土改后另立约场乡。1958年改约场公社，1963年归入新圩公社，是其下的约场大队；九十年代（1993至1999年）为约场管理区，此后改设村民委员会。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村名取自原来的约场圩。圩期定在每月带2、5、8的日子，人们相约前来赶圩买卖，因此叫“约场”。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
约场村魁星阁是惠阳的市级文物保护单位，卢伟如故居是区级文物保护单位。[2]
著名人物[edit]
卢伟如（1919—1985年），惠阳人，1937年入党，在东江纵队做过支队长，新中国成立后任炮兵副司令员、广州军区副政委。[2][3]
荣誉[edit]
2020年至2022年连续入选淘宝村名单；2021年获广东省卫生村称号。[1]
