沙田村是广东省肇庆市怀集县梁村镇辖下的行政村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

怀集县人民政府在1998年11月批复同意（怀发〔1998〕20号），设立沙田村民委员会；据博雅地名网，当地田土多沙质，故称沙田。[3]

1950年10月设沙田乡，1958年办高级社，亦称沙田大队；1983年仍为沙田乡，之后依次为村委会（1987年1月）、管理区（1989年），1998年起为村民委员会。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

位于镇域东部，距梁村圩约4公里；下设14个村民小组，798户、3901人（村情资料，未标年份）；水田1809亩，出产水稻和沙糖桔。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2021年9月，在广东省农业农村厅公布的第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单中，以魔芋入选。[1]
