沙田村是吴川市覃巴镇的一个村委会，在吴川市区东约9公里处，东接吉兆旅游度假区，南临南海，辖沙田、木顶、覃流、中古口、塘博埇、覃旺、罗村7条自然村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
沙田最初（1950年）隶属吉兆行政村，1964年转隶那碌大队，到1982年才独立成沙田大队；此后叫沙田港乡（1983年）、沙田管理区（1987年），1989年定名沙田村民委员会，沿用至今。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
全村总人口5478人，村委会驻大王线旁的塘博埇一带。[1]村民主要靠渔业，种植业居次，耕地约1486.6亩，花生是出产大宗；全村300艘机动渔船，养虾300多亩，海蜇加工场合计2万多平方米，号称“渔蜇之乡”。[1]辖区内有沙田小学、罗村小学和覃流民办小学；6条村已铺设硬底化水泥道路。[1]

沙田村名列「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」（2021年1月公布）。[2]
