平城村是石颈镇西北部的行政村，地处长青水库一带，离镇政府约5公里，辖4条自然村，办事处设在沙田村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
起初是1963年的平城大队，其后依次改作平城乡（1983年）、村委会（1986年）、管理区（1989年），1998年重新称村委会。博雅地名网记村名原作「平神」，含神灵保佑平安之意，祖先取谐音改为「平城」。[1]
人口民族[edit]
人口3188人，耕地1342亩。[1]
经济[edit]
该村红橙种植较早，面积1600多亩，是镇里的红橙种植基地和示范点。[1]
村委会在2001至2004年间每年都获廉江市先进党支部称号，2002年另得廉江市文明单位标兵，2004年再获湛江市先进党支部；2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
