横山镇是广东省肇庆市广宁县下辖的镇，辖1个社区、10个行政村，面积约137.5平方公里。[1]2020年第七次全国人口普查时，全镇约有3.18万人，在广宁县各镇街中居第5位。[1]镇名取自圩镇所在的一条东西走向的山岗。[1]境内竹林连片，砂糖桔、竹器加工和服装、陶瓷、造纸等工业并存，另有高村一带的钽铌矿。[2][5]

历史沿革[edit]

1979年此地为厚溪公社。1983年秋公社改设区，1987年4月区改为镇，同年6月原来的乡改称村民委员会，并设横山镇居民委员会；1989年4月村民委员会一度改称管理区，1998年12月又恢复原称。[1]各村在清道光年间多属官塘铺；横山圩则始于清光绪年间，1896年开圩，1946年设横山乡。[3]

地理环境[edit]

镇域面积约137.5平方公里，圩镇坐落在一条东西走向的山岗上，罗锅、厚溪、罗帷、荔洞等村临绥江。[1][4]据该镇概况，全镇耕地19300亩，其中水田17320亩、旱地1980亩；高村的毕陇水库集雨面积10.5平方公里。[2]

经济[edit]

概况所载的数字停在2003年：当年全社会总产值6.3亿元，其中工业3.2亿元、农业0.9亿元；砂糖桔种植3800多亩，淡水养殖500多亩，山地鸡饲养超过2万只。[2]镇内企业共80多家，行业涵盖服装、陶瓷、造纸、小水电和竹艺加工，罗锅设有竹加工区。[2]高村一带的钽铌矿，被《维基百科》称为全国少有的高钽矿。[5]

文化[edit]

该镇自称体育先进镇和武术之乡。[2]概况称全镇有小学17所、幼儿园1所、中学2所：一所是香港人陈达出资兴建、设在圩镇的文杰中学，一所是厚溪的元恺中学；另有一家卫生院，下设大志和罗锅两个门诊部。[2]圩镇逢农历尾数2、5、8赶墟，社区主街以广宁云吞出名。[6]

名胜古迹[edit]

罗锅村是镇内的旅游点所在：概况提到罗锅的万亩竹海和海心洲，2026年7月官方推介的路线又列入罗锅古街、罗锅古渡口和观竹楼。[2][6]厚溪的勒封指挥庙在竹海大观景区范围内。[7]
