地名由来[edit]
各自然村沿罗锅河两岸分布，村委会设在罗锅口，故以“罗锅”为名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
道光年间归官塘铺管辖；1930年划作首约、上约、中约、沙口四个乡，隶九区。1954年有罗锅口、社下、周塘三个农业社，1958年三社并成罗锅大队；1983年改乡，1987年为村民委员会，1989年改称管理区，1998年复称村民委员会。[1][2]
荣誉[edit]
村里开展“美丽庭院”创建，先后得到「广东省美丽乡村精品线路」「广东省文化和旅游特色村」的称号。2020年12月，进入「2020年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；2024年4月，进入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单；2026年1月，又列入「2025年广东省“美丽庭院”特色村」名单。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
据广宁发布2026年7月的推介，村里有竹子种植示范基地，连片竹林1500亩，其中观竹楼周围核心竹林300亩；观竹楼为六角四层。另有长200多米的青石板老街罗锅古街，推介称已有500多年，逢农历尾数为十的日子赶墟；街尽头的罗锅古渡口，清代是绥江上的货运码头，竹子由此运往广州、佛山。[3]横山镇概况另提到罗锅的万亩竹海和海心洲。[4]
