地理位置[edit]
村在横坑河南侧，处于赤粉水道与虎跳门河道之间，东面隔河与三家村相望。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放后隶新会县第八区横粉乡；1965年起称横山大队，隶属斗门县上横公社；1984年改横山乡，1986年改横山村委会；2003年起归莲洲镇。[1]
民俗[edit]
横山村的“七月三十装路香”是省级非物质文化遗产。2026年9月10日晚，村里举行了巡游：巷道里摆香墩，四条传统火龙穿街而过，今年有30名中小学生组成的少年小龙队首次参加。莲洲镇的报道说，这项民俗已传承三百多年，是沙田疍家文化的载体。[2]
