历史沿革[edit]

1952年称波西乡，隶高要二区，当年8月划归高要六区；1955年转入莲塘区；1958年成立波西大队，隶新桥公社；次年改隶莲塘公社；1983年改设乡，1987年乡改为村委会，1989年又改为管理区，1998年复称村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2026年1月，获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」；2020年8月，列入「首批广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」名单（产品为罗氏沼虾）。[1]
