莲塘镇社区是高要区莲塘镇政府所在的居民委员会，位于镇中心，面积约0.7平方千米，下设3个居民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区居民委员会于1989年成立，沿用至今。[1]据博雅地名网，莲塘一名的由来是：附近有神符山，从山上远望周围村落簇拥，形如莲藕，因此得名。[1]

社区建设[edit]

据博雅地名网所载介绍，社区人口共2048多人，是莲塘镇唯一的社区居民委员会，距高要城区约8千米；设有警务室、医疗站、志愿者服务队和残疾人康复中心。[1]
