新中国成立前设农会，1962年组建生产队，1983年建乡，1987年改称村民委员会，1989年改设管理区办事处，1999年起复称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

地名由来[edit]

很久以前此处河上筑有一座较大的拦水河坝，故称大坝。[2]

大坝村年平均气温22.1摄氏度，年降雨量约1477至1985毫米，属南亚热带季风气候。[1]

经济[edit]

村里种植的主要经济作物是木薯、花生；特色收入来源有生猪生产、木薯、小水电站。据同一网站所载，上一年全村农村经济总收入1079万元。[1]
